• 100% genuine leather - Made from the fibrous part of the hide after the top-grain of the rawhide has been separated. This leather provides the robustness and durability of genuine leather, making it ideal for long-term use and giving an authentic look to any product.
• Faux Leather - Also known as synthetic leather, this material is made to look like real leather but is crafted from synthetic materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyurethane (PU). Faux leather offers versatility and consistency in texture, is easy to maintain, and is a more affordable alternative to genuine leather.

In the production process, a leather patch can be made in a few different ways:

1. Emboss: This technique involves pressing a design into the leather, creating a raised image or text. The raised area stands out from the surface, giving a three-dimensional effect that adds texture and depth to the patch.
2. Deboss: The opposite of embossing. Instead of raising the design, debossing presses it into the leather, creating an indented effect. This technique is subtle and elegant, providing a sophisticated look without the use of ink or foil.
3. Laser: Laser engraving uses a laser to precisely etch a design onto the leather’s surface. This method allows for intricate and detailed patterns, offering high precision and durability. The laser can create both light and dark markings, depending on the leather type and laser settings.
4. Print: This screen printing technique involves applying ink directly onto the leather through a mesh screen, transferring the design onto the patch. This method is ideal for vibrant colors and complex designs, allowing for high customization and detailed graphics. It is a popular choice for patches requiring multiple colors or logos.

Each technique provides unique advantages and can be chosen based on the desired appearance, texture, and durability of the leather patch. With embossing and debossing, you can feel the design on the surface of the patch. The laser and print techniques, on the other hand, provide a smoother look and feel where you don’t feel the design on the surface.

Step 1: Design Your Leather Patch
Start by creating your leather patch design using your preferred software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign. Make sure the file is at least 300 dpi for clear results. We recommend vector files (.svg) for the best quality, but we also accept most file types including: .png, .psd, .pdf and .jpg formats. If you’re unsure about your file, upload it, and we’ll review it for you.

Step 2: Submit Your Quote
Upload your design through our quote form, including key details such as the size, quantity, and colors you'd like. If you have any special requests or questions, feel free to include them as well. Our team will review everything and get back to you within two working days with a confirmation and pricing.

Step 3: Production & Delivery
After confirming your design, your leather patches will enter production. We strive to complete orders quickly, but it may take up to two weeks for production and shipping. We’ll keep you updated and notify you when your order is dispatched.

Are Leather Patches Suitable for Ironing onto Fabric?
Dutch Label Shop doesn’t offer ironing as an option for leather patches as heat can damage the leather. Sew-on is the standard for all Leather Patches. We do have iron-on patches you can apply on other fabrics, or what about velcro patches for backpacks and other accessories?
